Hyderabad: Two Telangana villages with zero covid cases lead the way for others

Gollapally a village in Devaruppala Tehsil of Jangaon district and Chain Paka in Chityal Tehsil of Bhupalpally district have not recorded a single Covid-19 case, both the villages were a part of the erstwhile Warangal district.

The second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc in the country, the rural and remote areas are heavily affected in the second wave.

Two villages in Telangana have set an example for everyone in the fight against Coronavirus. Gollapally a village in Devaruppala Tehsil of Jangaon district and Chain Paka in Chityal Tehsil of Bhupalpally district have not recorded a single Covid-19 case, both the villages were a part of the erstwhile Warangal district.

Golapally with a population of 1,000 has not reported a single Covid case in the second wave, the village also won the National Nirmal Gramin Award 10 years ago for cleanliness, continued to ensure cleanliness that helped residents protect themselves from the Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Chain Paka with a population of about 450 is also a Covid-free village. G Sasidhar Reddy, a villager, said, although two residents of the village had a fever, they tested negative for Covid-19 He said that the people of Chain Paka are strictly following the Covid-19 Protocol. Whenever our villagers meet others, they wear masks and maintain physical distance, he also added.


The sanitation workers of the Gram Panchayat are regularly spraying sodium hypochlorite in the village.
