BRO to Begin Inspection of Miao Vijoynagar Road in Changlang District

Our CorrespondentItanagar: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) will carry out inspection of the strategic Miao-Vijoynagar road in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh from September 12 next, a top official informed. The Miao-Vijaynagar Road is being undertaken by the BRO. “Expert BRO officers with seniors of the rural works department will be carrying out the survey works,” Singh said. The governor emphasized that all the roads, particularly the strategic roads, in the state must be constructed within the stipulated timeframe. Khandu sought speedy construction of the road, saying “it is of strategic importance to national integrity,” the communique added.

Our Correspondent Itanagar: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) will carry out inspection of the strategic Miao-Vijoynagar road in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh from September 12 next, a top official informed. Additional Director General (East) of BRO P K H Singh during a recent meeting with state Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu at Guwahati informed, a Raj Bhawan communique informed here on Tuesday. The Miao-Vijaynagar Road is being undertaken by the BRO. The ADG said a team of BRO officers would collect soil samples from the ground during the reconnaissance, in order to conduct laboratory analysis to decide on the technology to be used in the roads construction. “Expert BRO officers with seniors of the rural works department will be carrying out the survey works,” Singh said. The governor emphasized that all the roads, particularly the strategic roads, in the state must be constructed within the stipulated timeframe. “Quality of work and its durability should be maintained at all costs, with due technical care for the severe weather conditions and heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh,” he said. The chief minister, who is also the environment & forests minister, briefed the ADG on the need to construct the road for the protection of the flora and fauna in the Namdapha National Park and Tiger Reserve. Khandu sought speedy construction of the road, saying “it is of strategic importance to national integrity,” the communique added.
