Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar Inspects Eco tourism Project Sites

A CORRESPONDENTROING: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar on Sunday inspected the ongoing infrastructure projects, eco-tourism project sites and Agriculture and Horticulture farm sites in the Lower Dibang Valley district. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, SP S. K. Sain, Secretary Anirudh S. Singh, Director (Tourism) Abu Tayeng, HoDs and Administrative officers. He also visited the Diphu Nallah area to inspect the possible tourism sites and inspected the Orange festival site at Dambuk to assess the scope and pace of work. Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar also heard the grievances of the Gaon Burahs of the Diphu Nallah area and inhabitants of Kapang village and assured them to address their problems. A CORRESPONDENT ROING: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar on Sunday inspected the ongoing infrastructure projects, eco-tourism project sites and Agriculture and Horticulture farm sites in the Lower Dibang Valley district. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, SP S. K. Sain, Secretary Anirudh S. Singh, Director (Tourism) Abu Tayeng, HoDs and Administrative officers. Inspecting the site of the district mini secretariat, and tourism complex funded under the District Innovation and Challenge Fund and the UD housing complex, the Chief Secretary made modifications to the buildings design for better and efficient use of space and instructed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work. He also visited the Diphu Nallah area to inspect the possible tourism sites and inspected the Orange festival site at Dambuk to assess the scope and pace of work. He suggested improvements and additions to be made which would enhance the experience of the tourists while using the facilities being undertaken in the site. The Chief Secretary showed keen interest in enhancing the tourism and horticulture potential of the Dambuk area by visiting the Kone Gipong eco tourist lodge being constructed at Dambuk amidst orange orchards and with a beautiful view of the Sisiri River, the orange orchards at Kapang village and the proposed site for the Integrated Demonstration Farm for Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry at Bagan, Dambuk. Standing amidst the 50 years old orange trees of Kapang village, he proposed plans to enhance the area under orange cultivation in the district and asked the horticulture department to work out a mechanism where the farmers can be aided to start cultivating oranges and in turn help in the reverse migration of the local inhabitants from towns, back to villages of the area. He also took stock of the departments organic cultivation practices and suggested measures to improve it. Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar also heard the grievances of the Gaon Burahs of the Diphu Nallah area and inhabitants of Kapang village and assured them to address their problems.
