Minister Kiren Rijiju flags off Papum Poma river festival 2020

A CorrespondentITANAGAR: The three-day 2nd edition of Papum Poma River Festival (PPRF) 2020 was unfurled at the banks of river Papum at Ramghat under Taraso Circle, Papum Pare district by Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju in the presence of local MLA Tana Hali Tara. The festival is being celebrated with the theme “Save Nature Save Our Future”. Attending the occasion as the chief guest, Rijiju said that Arunachal Pradesh has is full of potential in tourism with its natural beauty, various traditions, and so people of every district have to promote or explore tourism areas by organizing such festivals. Appreciating the PPRF committee for organizing and promoting the area with motives of preserving, conserving the area for sustainable source of income generation, he said that one day this place will become a big tourist destination because Ramghat is not too far from capital Itanagar and its very near to the Assam border.
