Arunachal MLA Lombo Tayeng donates three months salary for COVID 19

OUR CORRESPONDENTITANAGAR: In the wake of coronavirus throughout the country which has turned pandemic in nature, Mebo MLA Lombo Tayeng has donated his three months' salary for undertaking awareness campaign, mobility, purchasing of the mask, gloves, sanitizers, and medicines. Tayeng asked the administration to take all possible steps to contain the spread of the virus which has claimed fives lives in India so far. Meanwhile, East Siang District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh has appealed to all not to spread a rumor or misleading items in social media but to post only verified and authentic messages in the public interest. Any person defying the 'Home Quarantine Order' will be prosecuted under the 'Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897', under Section 188 IPC, she said. According to official sources from Mebo in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, the amount would be used by Mebo and Namsing administration, the paramedical team of Mebo Community Health Centre (CHC) besides Borguli and Namsing Primary Health Centres (PHCs) for undertaking activities against COVID-19. Tayeng asked the administration to take all possible steps to contain the spread of the virus which has claimed fives lives in India so far. Meanwhile, East Siang District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh has appealed to all not to spread a rumor or misleading items in social media but to post only verified and authentic messages in the public interest. Any person defying the Home Quarantine Order will be prosecuted under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, under Section 188 IPC, she said. While checking and screening of people at the checkmates of the district have been intensified, doctors, nurses, para-medical staff, police personnel, and officers are working tirelessly in the district under the close monitoring of the DC, an official communiqué informed here.
