The BRO staff under the guidance of Project Arunank chief engineer Brig A S Choker has been working with commitment to complete the bridge within a month as road communication holds key to the development of this landlocked State. It may be recalled here that in the wee hours of July 1992, the bridge had collapsed when a night super bus carrying 56 passengers from Silapathar had fallen into the river while approaching Daporijo. All the passengers in the ill-fated bus died in the accident.
