Ajay Maken, in-charge of Rajasthan Congress reached Jaipur on Wednesday and immediately entered into work mode. As part of the campaign to resolve the political crisis of Rajasthan, Congress in-charge Ajay Maken is meeting one-to-one with the party and government-backed independent MLAs today.

He has initiated one-on-one talks with 119 Congress MLAs to bridge the gap between the two camps led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot. The talks will continue for two days and will help in getting the right feedback on the performance of the ministers.

He will seek their opinion for the proposed cabinet reshuffle and district and block-level appointments in the organization of the party. District wise time has been fixed for meeting Maken and MLAs are meeting Maken one by one accordingly.

Sources said that after taking feedback from the MLAs, the cabinet expansion will happen soon and then it will be the turn of the district heads for PCC. These two processes will be followed by political appointments.

Party sources said that on the first day, on Wednesday, party MLAs from Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Baran, Dausa, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, Bundi, Kota and Dholpur are scheduled to meet Maken. The MLAs of the rest of the districts will meet Maken on Thursday. The Congress has 106 MLAs in the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly. Apart from this, it has the support of 13 independent MLAs.
