MC Budget passed by MayorPhagwara: The Phagwara Municipal Corporation today passed Rs 41.36 crores deficit Budget for 2018-19 at its meeting held here on Monday. In the Budget (2018-19), the estimated income is Rs 41.36 crore against the estimated expenditure of Rs 41.13 crore. Heated arguments were also witnessed between BJP councillor Anurag Mankhand and BJP Mayor Khosla. Mayor Khosla said Rs 14.64 crore would be spent on development works during the year 2018-19. Congress councillors Sanjeev Bugga, Gurbchan Singh Walia, Munish Parbhakar and Jatinder Vermani, were seen irritated on the 20 mintues delayed arrival of the Mayor in the budget meeting.—OC
