SCHOOL NOTESJalandhar: Larsen and Toubro Limited (L&T), a multi-national firm visited the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus, for joint campus drive for Diploma (civil/electrical/mechanical/automobile/environment health and safety instrumentation and mining) 2018 passing out batch, on Wednesday. The company selected three institutes for the drive - namely CT Group of Institutions, Mehr Chand Polytechnic and Amritsar Polytechnic Colleges. The science olympiad was aimed at developing and improving scientific aptitude of students and preparing them for further competitive exams.—TNS Around 81 students from these institutions were eligible to appear in the drive conducted.—TNSHonorary degree awardedJalandhar: Dr Sandeepa Sood, principal, Saffron Public School, Phagwara, was awarded with an Honorary Degree — Doctor of Letters (D.Litt) by the University of South America. A scrutinisation was conducted among some international school principals worldwide and she got selected and honoured with the award.She received the award for her 18 years of dedicated and selfless service to the school.
