Club organises prize distribution function

Tribune News ServiceJalandhar, August 21The Rotary Club, Goraya, midtown today organised its fourth prize distribution function at Government Senior School BJD Jalandhar. Cash prize and mementoes were distributed among the students who got merit positions in Classes IV to XII. Lupinder Kumar, member of the club, said: “To honour and motivate the students it was necessary to organise such functions.”He said: “Where there is a will there is a way and to inspire students to work hard many clubs and social organisations are working so that every child should get an opportunity to realise his dreams.”Kamal Kumar, president of the club, said: “Every year, we oraginse the prize distribution ceremony to reward the students for excellent academic performance.”“The Rotary club has also helped the school to transform it into a self-made Smart School by helping the School Management Committee to bring all modern facilities like midday meal shed, library, park benches and smart boards etc,” he added. Kamal said: “The Youth Football Club, Rurka Kalan, has adopted the school to develop sports and develop education and improvement of the girls to meet the emerging challenges in education sector.”
