Cultural items mark United India Fest

It was organised to showcase unity and oneness among various states. The students enjoyed variety of dance forms and song renditions of different states and relished Indian regional cuisine. Special exhibitions included monuments, archaeological objects, architectural designs, wildlife, landscapes, geological supremacies, antique acquirements, cultural and allied art and other dominances of different states of India. I am happy to note that faculty members and students worked day and night to present the diverse and enriched culture of different states of India.”

Jalandhar, October 22 The CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) organised United India Fest to celebrate the festive season and spread a message of oneness. It was organised to showcase unity and oneness among various states. Students of CTIHM showcased nine different states — Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Gujarat, Assam, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Orissa and Goa — and performed various dance performances at CT Shahpur campus. The students enjoyed variety of dance forms and song renditions of different states and relished Indian regional cuisine. Special exhibitions included monuments, archaeological objects, architectural designs, wildlife, landscapes, geological supremacies, antique acquirements, cultural and allied art and other dominances of different states of India. Displays about popular women leaders, patriots, saints, sportswomen and their world renowned ideologies added lustre to the celebration. Students from Karnataka presented a special form of dance popularly known as Veeragase; Gujarati students represented Somnath temple, Akshar Dham temple and statue of unity whereas, students from Orissa presented Jagannath Rath Yatra; Assamese students represented Kamakshi Devi temple, Rang Mahal and Kanziranga National Park etc. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group, said, “This fest teaches us what oneness, friendship, peaceful existence and bonds of togetherness mean. This all can be well understood by working closely. I am happy to note that faculty members and students worked day and night to present the diverse and enriched culture of different states of India.”
