LPU students bag second spot in SAEINDIA car-designing contest

The LPU team won the second place in the Autocross event and was honoured with a cash award and a winning trophy. LPU team’s captain and driver-1 was Rishabh Shukla, and vice-captain and driver-2 was Akshay Zerath. LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal congratulated the students and invoked other students to keep the winning spirit up. Over 3,000 students from various engineering institutions, including top IITs and NITs across the country, had competed the 6th edition of ‘Supra SAEINDIA 2017’ contest held at the Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida. The LPU formula car was designed by a group of 25 students from the School of Mechanical Engineering, which was guided by head of the school Prof Gurpreet Singh Phull and assistant prof Sumit Kanchan.
