Tribune News ServiceJalandhar, September 17Girija Devi (52), a migrant labourer and a resident of Hirapur in Lambra, was found murdered in the morning in the fields near her house. The police said that she had been murdered by a sharp-edged weapon with which her throat was slit. Devi, along with her family members, had celebrated the birth of her grandson at a party in her house and had gone outside, after which she went missing. It was only in the morning that the family found her in a pool of blood in the fields. The police said that the family was suspecting one Chottu in their neighbourhood and the police are investigating his role in the case.
