Amendment bill to come up in Parliament: RS MP

When asked is the Gurdaspur byelections a referendum of the people, the BJP MP said though the BJP would definitely win, it could not be termed a referendum. He said the changes would be made to ensure that the traffic rules are strictly implemented on the pattern of devolved countries. The MP denied that he is an aspirant for the post of next president of the Punjab BJP.

MOTOR VEHICLES ACT Ashok Kaura Phagwara,September 17 Rajya Sabha MP Shwet Malik today said the Union Government would introduce a transparent bill to make practical amendments in the Motor Vehicles Act in Parliament during the winter session. He said the changes would be made to ensure that the traffic rules are strictly implemented on the pattern of devolved countries. Malik is also a member of the Motor Vehicles Act Amendment Committee. While addressing a press conference, the MP said the smooth flow of traffic was the dire need of the hour after the number of vehicles had increased in the country. He expressed his concern over the increasing petrol prices in the country and disclosed that the government was seriously considering the matter and working for the equal GST in all states. Malik said the Modi government was initiating for the micro management to provide transparent, accountable and impartial administration to the people of the country. He flayed the Congress government in the state and said it had failed to live up to the expectations of the people. Malik said the BJP parliamentary board would announce the BJP candidate soon. When asked is the Gurdaspur byelections a referendum of the people, the BJP MP said though the BJP would definitely win, it could not be termed a referendum. The MP denied that he is an aspirant for the post of next president of the Punjab BJP. He said he was a loyal worker.
