The DC said Pungrain had purchased 1,13,408 metric tonnes of paddy, Markfed 75,127 metric tonnes, Punsup 62,956 metric tonnes, Punjab Agro 32,422 metric tonnes, Punjab State Ware House Corporation 32,249 MT, FCI 44,281 MT and traders 1,284 metric tonnes. The victim said before she could speak, the women snatched her gold bangles and fled the spot. OC Over 3.6 lakh metric tonnes of paddy purchased Hoshiarpur: The government has set up 62 centres in the district for paddy procurement. Of the total paddy that have arrived, 3,61,727 metric tonnes has been purchased by government procurement agencies and traders.

BRIEFLY Gold bangles snatched Phagwara: Four unidentified persons, including three women, snatched gold bangles from a woman, identified as Swaran Sobti, in broad daylight in Model Town on Wednesday. The accused targeted the victim when she was walking on the road. The victim said a car stopped in front her and a woman sitting inside it asked about someone's address. The victim said before she could speak, the women snatched her gold bangles and fled the spot. The police have registered a case in this regard. OC 6 passengers injured in mishap Phagwara: As many six passengers were injured when a PRTC bus rammed into a stationary oil tanker on the national highway near Chiherru here on Wednesday in the morning. Bus driver Jagdev Singh said the mishap took place due to poor visibility caused by thick smog. The bus and the tanker were damaged in the mishap. Injured were admitted to various hospitals. OC Over 3.6 lakh metric tonnes of paddy purchased Hoshiarpur: The government has set up 62 centres in the district for paddy procurement. As of now, 3,61,772 metric tonnes of paddy have arrived at the centres. Of the total paddy that have arrived, 3,61,727 metric tonnes has been purchased by government procurement agencies and traders. Deputy Commissioner Vipul Ujwal said Rs 507 crore had been paid to the commission agents.
