Yashika Chadha has been a winner in inter-house school debate competition and is now preparing for upcoming national level debate competition. I received my first prize in debate competition in Class VI and never miss an opportunity to be on the stage. Yashika Chadha also quipped that she will continue the hard work to bring laurels for the nation. Having flare for debates since childhood, she said, “I have been participating for debates and anchoring since long. We usually start discussion at home which turns into a heated debate between me and my father.

Avneet Kaur Jalandhar, November 20 Having won the first prize in inter-school debate competition organised at British Olivia School, here on November 18, Yashika Chadha of Class VIII of Swami Sant Dass School, added another feather into her cap after being declared as the best speaker in the school. Having flare for debates since childhood, she said, “I have been participating for debates and anchoring since long. I received my first prize in debate competition in Class VI and never miss an opportunity to be on the stage. Moreover, I thoroughly enjoy questioning my opponents and enter into a healthy debate with them.” The multi-talented girl has also is equally interested in dancing, painting, sketching, poem recitations and acting. Yashika Chadha has been a winner in inter-house school debate competition and is now preparing for upcoming national level debate competition. Narrating her journey Yashika said, “My father is a great orator, he holds expertise in extempore. We usually start discussion at home which turns into a heated debate between me and my father. I have learned these traits from my father and he encourages me every time.” “I am not taking any professional coaching for improving my speaking skills as my father is my mentor. The best part is that I am able to easily manage my studies, along with following my passion and stay focused to achieve ultimate goal of becoming a doctor”, she added. Yashika Chadha also quipped that she will continue the hard work to bring laurels for the nation.
