JAMSHEDPUR : The East Singhbhum police seized 400 detonators, 480 gelatin sticks and codex wires, among other items, from the house of a fisherman in Jaduguda police station area on Sunday night. The explosives were seized following a raid conducted by security forces at one Pawan Soren 's house in Digri village.The search operation was carried out by the district police team and CRPF 193rd Battalion. However, Pawan Soren was nowhere to be found when the late-night raid was conducted.The police are trying to ascertain the motive behind hoarding such huge amounts of explosives there. They also did not rule out the possibility of a Maoist link in the whole matter. Musabani dy SP Ajit Vimal said the fisherman is absconding.The seizure has given birth to new doubts as the security forces had already launched renewed search and combing operations against the ultras in the Ghatshila sub division, in Dalma forest as well as the Boram police station areas. ASP (operation) Pranav Anand Jha, Dy SP, Ajit Kumar Vimal, CRPF 193rd Battalion commanding officials and police of Galudih and Jaduguda stations constituted the team that conducted raids and searches.
