Two girls end life by hanging from same ceiling fan

They were from Baripada in Odisha Meera Patro, mother of deceased Gudia, told police that the couple fled Baripada a few days ago . The owner of the rented room said he gave the room to the girls after he was approached by a construction worker, who was known to them. The girls seemed to be in a relationship, the owner added. JAMSHEDPUR: Two girls in their early 20s hanged themselves from the same ceiling of a rented room in Gamharia police station area in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district on Thursday.The deceased, identified as Gudia Patro (21) and Rashmita Nayak (20), were living in the rented room in Jagannathpur in Gamharia since the last two weeks. "The bodies have been taken for autopsy and further investigation is underway," Gamharia police station in-charge J P Rana said.Deceased Rashmita's mother, Neelima Nayak said she along with Meera arrived at Gamharia on Wednesday evening to find their daughters.
