Sudarshan Bhagat calls for quick probe into lynchings

The Bagbera police had lodged FIR against 17 named accused and against 300 unidentified accused following the incident. So far 17 people including one named accused have been arrested. JAMSHEDPUR: Expressing disappointment over the delay in arrest of all the accused in the Nagadih and Rajnagar lynching case, Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Sudarshan Bhagat exhorted the police to pace up the exercise. "The administration of the two districts should complete probe investigation and ensure that all accused are arrested at the earliest," Sudarshan said to reporters registering his concern over the lynching of 10 people.The minister, who visited the Steel City for International Yoga Day on Wednesday, said local officials should work towards preventing recurrence of such incidents.
