Four kids on way to Ramdev temple drown in Jodhpur

JAISALMER: Four children of devotees from Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh going to Ramdevra in Jaisalmer district to visit Baba Ramdev temple, drowned at Meghlasia pond in Jodhpur.A group of 40 people from Neemuch was going to Ramdevra. The children were brought to a hospital in Jodhpur where they were declared dead. Children too started bathing in the pond. Large number of devotees have started coming to Ramdevra as fair will start from September 11.The group had stopped at the pond to take a bath, which was 20km away from Jodhpur.

The children were brought to a hospital in Jodhpur where they were declared dead. Two were girls and two were boys aged between 7 and 8 years. Large number of devotees have started coming to Ramdevra as fair will start from September 11.The group had stopped at the pond to take a bath, which was 20km away from Jodhpur. Children too started bathing in the pond. When people came out of the pond they found the four children missing and on searching found their bodies in the pond.According to information from police Dharam Singh’s brother and sister and other relatives from Neemuch were going to Ramdevra in different vehicles. At Meghlasia pond they all were relaxing and all went to take a bath in the pond when four children including two boys and two girls 7-9 years old drowned. When the group found children missing they searched and youth found their bodies in the pond.Later the family took the bodies to Mathuradas Mathur hospital in Jodhpur for post-mortem. The deceased have been identified as Divya, 8, Meenakshi, 8, Yuvraj and Samar-both 7-years-old.
