JODHPUR: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Sunday said that the BJP has been distorting Hindu religion and Hinduism in the country by blaring out misleading description and interpretation.Singhvi asked that if the BJP has any monopoly on Hinduism, referring to the comment of Rahul Gandhi in which he had said that Modi calls himself a Hindu but does not know the foundation of Hindu religion.“What wrong did Rahul say. Is the Hindu religion a monopoly of BJP, who has got all the right to talk about Hinduism,” asked Singhvi.Singhiv alleged that the BJP government has miserably failed in the state and now trying to mislead the people claiming massive development in all the sectors.Talking about the claim of Vasundhara Raje that she gave 44 lakh employment in lieu of 15 lakh, as promised in its manifesto, Singhvi said that it was a blatant lie.“According to the date of October 2018, the unemployment rate of the state is 13.7%, which brought the state to the fourth highly unemployed state in the country,” he said.Referring to the CAG report of 2018, he said that there were 33 lakh unemployed persons in the state, while there were 20 lakh unemployed youth were registered with the employment exchange by December 2017.He further accused the state government of abating privatization of the school education in the name of PPP model.“In 2015-16 only, the number of primary schools came down by 13,000 and the registration in these schools fell by 1.4 lakh,” said Singhvi.“Interestingly, in the corresponding period, there was a huge spurt in registration in private schools,” he said adding that the government has been profiteering by promoting privatization of education in the name of PPP model. He also claimed that the government has also goofed up hiding the facts pertaining to agriculture and farmers behind the data jugglery.Terming the loan waiver for the farmers a huge fraud, Singhvi said that the actual waiver was only 10-15% and that too for the cooperatives and short term borrowers.Referring to the PM Crop Insurance Scheme, Singhvi said that there was a huge gap of Rs 16,000 crore between the premium received and claim disbursed.“This clearly meant that the government racked in a huge profit in the name of crop insurance and the farmers suffered,” he said.He also claimed that there was a sharp rise in crime in the state, especially the crimes against women, which has brought the state to fourth rank in this category.
