Jhansi: A wanted history sheeter from Agra, who was having a reward of Rs 20,000 on his head, was nabbed by police on Saturday evening. The accused was presented in front of the media on Sunday.SSP, Jhansi Om Prakash Singh said that the accused Ram Singh (46), who originally belonged to Murena district in MP, was wanted in a kidnapping and ransom case lodged against him in Fatehpur Sikri police station of Agra, and he has been absconding since a long time. The accused, carrying a reward of Rs 20,000 his head, is a dreaded gangster, who has more than twelve cases pending against him in MP and UP, the SSP said.On Saturday evening, during regular checking near Gwalior Road railway crossing the police while searching one of the cars, found Ram Singh whose appearance seemed suspicious. A 315 bore hand gun and two live cartridges were recovered from his car. Folowing sustained interrogation, the accused informed the police about all his criminal activities.“We immediately contacted our counterparts in Agra and informed them about the accused who was wanted in a number of cases, the SSP said. The team, which has caught the accused, has been rewarded with Rs 5000”, he added.
