The shortage of specialists in district hospitals is a pressing issue that has been discussed at a state-level meeting of the Haryana Civil Medical Service (HCMS) Association. The association has been urging the government to address this shortage and attract and retain specialists. Despite promises made two years ago, no concrete steps have been taken. The overburdened working specialists and poor people are deprived of quality healthcare services, which goes against the Health for All motto of the central and state government.
