Kamal Hassan to campaign for TMC in Andamans

Trinamool has fielded Ayan Mondal from the seat.Haasan had an hour-long meeting with Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna, the seat of the Bengal secretariat, on Monday on how to take forward the alliance.Banerjee confirmed her party’s poll alliance with Haasan’s. “We are proud to have Makkal Needhi Maiam as an ally of the Trinamool in the Andamans,” she said.Banerjee said it was discussed that the superstar will hold a rally in the Andamans on April 6 in support of Mondal. Sujit Bose, Bengal’s fire services minister, will also attend the rally on Trinamool’s behalf, she added.Haasan said he came down to Kolkata to seek Banerjee’s blessings, with whom he shares an “excellent relationship”, and confirmed that he would be going to the Andamans on April 6.
