Push for research to cure blood disorders

Kolkata: In a bid to strengthen collaboration in research and education and mutual exchange of knowledge to cure all blood disorders, the first edition of The HOPE Asia 2019 in the city on Friday. The three-day programme will end on Sunday. "It was a great opportunity for not only haematologists of the country but also budding medical professional tointeract with eminent experts from across the world," said Rabindra Kumar Jena, president of Indian Society of Haematology and Blood Transfusion. "The outreach programme focuses on long term collaboration," said Professor Gianluca Giadano, Chair EHA Global Outreach Committee. Debasish Bhattacharya, Director of Medical Education, West Bengal and Pradip Mitra, OSD (Research) West Bengal Health Department spoke on the occasion.
