Kolkata: Despite BJP leaders claiming that Bandhu Prakash Pal, who was killed at Lebubagan of Jiaganj in Murshidabad along with his wife and son was a RSS worker, Birbhum District Police has dismissed the claim stating no political links was established in this case. On Tuesday, bodies of Bandhu Prakash Pal (40), his wife Beauty Pal (30) and their son Angan Pal (5) were found inside their home. Local milk vendor Rajib Das and his friend were the first to spot the bodies at Prakashs Lebubagan residence in Jiaganj. Das informed the police that when he arrived, the main door was not locked. He pushed the door open and went inside. After getting inside, Das found Prakash lying in a pool of blood. He also saw a man wearing a black pant and black shirt escaping from the house. Das chased the person but failed to nab him. Hearing the screams, the neighbours arrived at the spot and saw Beauty and Angan lying in a pool of blood in another room. BJP leaders claimed that Bandhu Prakash was a RSS worker and therefore the police was not properly probing the case. Bandhu Prakashs family members and relatives clearly stated that he had no political affiliation. During the probe, the police also stated the same. Superintendent of Police (SP) Birbhum Mukesh stated that no political angle was found. It is suspected that killing took place over family and property issues. SP further informed that four persons were detained earlier out of them two have been released. On Friday, acting on a tip-off, the police raided a house in search of suspect at Suri in Birbhum. The police came to know that the suspect was living there on rent. During past four days, local residents saw one of legs had a bandage and his activities raised suspicion in them. During the raid, the police barged into the house and seized several documents, including the aadhar card of the suspect. Earlier, the police found a note, which is allegedly written by Beauty. In the note, there is a mention of the couples strained relationship. The police are scrutinizing the mobile phones of Prakash and Beauty to find clues which may lead to the culprits arrest. On Thursday, the police came to know that two unknown persons had inquired about Bandhu Prakash and his family from their neighbours. The police are trying to identify these persons. Investigating officials suspect they might be gathering information before committing the crime. The cops feel that the murders have been either committed by relatives or the mastermind belongs to Pal family. The police are also inspecting Bandhu Prakashs ancestral house to find if there was any property dispute.
