Kolkata: The Superintendent of Police (SP), Murshidabad, Mukesh Kumar, on Thursday interrogated the mother of Bandhu Prakash Pal who was killed along with his wife and five-year-old son. During questioning Bandhu Prakashs mother Mayarani Pal said a few people could be involved in murders. Though police said the mason, Utpal Behra, killed Bandhu Prakash Pal, his wife Beauty Pal and their son Angan Pal, Mayarani refused to believe the cops. On Thursday, she was called at the Sagardighi police station where SP questioned her. Answering the questions by the top cop, Mayarani told that she believes that it is not possible for Behra to kill her son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Earlier, the police said when Behra attacked Bandhu Prakash Pal, Beauty and Angan saw him. Thus, Behra killed them as they become eye-witnesses to the crime. Question arises that if Beauty and Angan had seen Behra killing Bandhu Prakash Pal, why they did not sound an alarm. The doubt deepened after it came to light that Behra was not a criminal. Was it possible for him to kill three people in just five minutes? However, the police are still claiming that Behra is the murderer. Sources said the police will soon take him to the shop near Ajimganj railway station to find out more details the weapon used in the murder. Behra reportedly bought the murder weapon from a shop near Ajimganj railway station. Though police claimed that the case has been cracked, the investigation is still on to find out there is any other angle to the case. Behra claimed he had purchased an 11-year term policy with a yearly premium of Rs 24,167 through Pal. He claimed during questioning that though he got the receipt for the first year, Pal did not give him the receipt for the second year despite he paid the premium. He had called up Pal to return his money as he was not handing him the policy paper and was allegedly abusing him verbally over the phone. Following that, Behra decided to kill Bandhu Prakash in rage. On the day of murder, Behra called up Bandhu Prakash and told him that he wants to meet him. As Behra was known to him, Bandhu Prakash did not hesitate to open the door. As soon as he opened the door, Behra attacked Bandhu Prakash.
