Racket creating fake sites of govt agencies busted kingpin held

Kolkata: The Cyber Crime Cell of Kolkata Police has arrested kingpin of a racket that used to cheat job-seekers by creating fake websites of several government agencies. The accused person, identified as Prasanta Nag of Nakashipara in Nadia, was arrested late on Wednesday night. The original website address of the Commission is pscwbapplication.in. During investigation, the police nabbed a person identified as Sabyasachi Biswas, alias Raju, in the month of June and seized several incriminating documents from his possession. Later, the cops started tracking the other accused persons' mobile tower locations and got in touch with website domain service providers.

Kolkata: The Cyber Crime Cell of Kolkata Police has arrested kingpin of a racket that used to cheat job-seekers by creating fake websites of several government agencies. The accused person, identified as Prasanta Nag of Nakashipara in Nadia, was arrested late on Wednesday night. Nag has been remanded to 14 days police custody on Thursday after he was produced at Bankshall Court. Earlier on April 23, Joint Secretary of West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) S Sen lodged a complaint at the Kolkata Polices Cyber Crime Cell against unknown persons for creating fake website of the Commission. They had put an extra letter in the address which would be difficult to notice. The original website address of the Commission is pscwbapplication.in. The fraudsters created the website with address pscwbbapplication.in. During investigation, the police nabbed a person identified as Sabyasachi Biswas, alias Raju, in the month of June and seized several incriminating documents from his possession. The police learnt that several others were connected with the racket. Later, the cops started tracking the other accused persons mobile tower locations and got in touch with website domain service providers.
