New daily flight to Dhaka from mid-May

The return flight will take off from Dhaka at 6.30pm local time (6pm IST) and reach Kolkata at 7pm. "The new flight will provide convenient onward connections to cities such as Bangkok, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Aizawl and Silchar via Kolkata to Dhaka. The existing flight leaves Kolkata at 7.05am and reaches Dhaka at 8.35am local time (8.05am IST) while the return flight takes off from Dhaka at 9.20am local time (8.50am IST) and reaches Kolkata at 9.40am.Announcing the new international flight, airline senior vice-president (commercial) Shilpa Bhatia said: "The overwhelming response of our customers to our first flight on the Kolkata-Dhaka route is what encouraged us to launch our second flight on the sector in such a short period. Kolkata: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet will launch its second daily direct flight on the Kolkata-Dhaka route from May 16 following heavy demand for seats on its existing service that was launched on March 23.According to SpiceJet, the second connection will depart Kolkata for Dhaka at 4.05pm and land at 5.45pm local time (5.15pm IST). The low-cost airline, that had hit an air pocket a couple of years ago, has clocked a passenger load factor in excess of 90% in 2016-17.
