On Wednesday, Clara had allegedly fell from the third floor of a building in Kolkata. Originally a resident of Shillong. Her body was found lying in pool of blood on road in front of her three-story flat at Kestopur near Dum Dum airport.
The flat belongs to her father Sherab Tenzing Bhutia also a senior cabin crew member with Air India. The police said according to preliminary investigation, Clara had invited two friends to her flat to celebrate one of their`s birthday. Around 4.30am, a local resident riding a scooter saw her lying on the ground and turned her to identify her in a pool of blood. He was the one who informed the cops. The police said they are investigating keeping all angles in mind. Clara was working with IndiGo airlines as a lead cabin attendant. IndiGo has issued a statement which says:
We have come to know of the sad demise of our employee Khongsit Clara Bansharai from Shilong. We were informed that she passed away in Kolkata this morning, on her weekly day-off. It is our understanding that the police is investigating the cause of the death. IndiGo expresses its deepest condolences on this tragic incident and shall be extending full support and help to her family in this hour of grief.
