Man booked for ~10-lakh fraud

BRIFFLYLudhiana: The city police have booked a man on the charges of fraud of Rs10 lakh. The booked accused has been identified as Inder Jain, a resident of Basant Road, Civil Lines. Police said Ashok had booked a room at ‘A One Hotel’ located near bus stand on January 10 this year. The accused auto drivers were identified as Gurvinder Singh and Balli, both residents of Ludhiana.

BRIFFLY Ludhiana: The city police have booked a man on the charges of fraud of Rs10 lakh. The booked accused has been identified as Inder Jain, a resident of Basant Road, Civil Lines. The complainant, Krishan Kumar, a resident of Himachal Pardesh, told the police that he had given an order for buying 3,600 chairs worth Rs10 lakh but the accused had not delivered the consignment. Now, he had also refused to return the money. No arrest has been made in the case by the police so far. Peddler held with heroin The city police have nabbed a peddler and recovered 4 gram heroin from his possession. The peddler has been identified as Saroop Singh, a resident of Jai Pura village, Doraha. Police said during a routine naka near bus stand, on suspicion a pedestrian was stopped for checking. During the search of his pockets, the drug was recovered. Police said further probe was on to bust the entire narcotics supply line.A man was looted by two auto rickshaw pullers. Complainant Rahul of Haibowal Kalan told police that he had boarded the auto rickshaw of the accused on March 21 to reach his place but accused stopped an auto rickshaw at some isolated place and threatened him to deliver all valuables. They forcibly took away his mobile phone, important documents and wallet containing some cash and fled the spot.The city police have booked a hotel worker for stealing a car of a Rajasthan-based person, Ashok Safaar, who had stayed in his hotel. The accused has been identified as Vikas Kumar alias Bhupinder Singh resident of Patiala. Police said Ashok had booked a room at ‘A One Hotel’ located near bus stand on January 10 this year. The next morning when he was about to check out, he found his Datsun car missing. The hotel worker was arrested by the police on March 21 and on his disclosures car was recovered from some place in Himachal Pardesh. Further probe was on.
