PSAEC to start functioning from current academic session: MRSPTU V-C

The BTech ( Aerospace Engineering ) will start from next session.Ishar said aviation industry is the fastest growing industry worldwide as well as in India. The number of job opportunities in the field of civil aviation have increased manifold during the last couple of years.He stressed the need for creating excellence in academic research and skill development and said due to the safety requirements in aviation we need to have a high level of personal integrity, commitment to accuracy and upholding of standards in the aviation engineering. He directed the officials to work hard to meet the deadline and said the admission notice would be issued shortly.Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between secretary (civil aviation) cum chairman executive committee PSAEC, Tejveer Singh and Ishar was signed on April 17 in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to pave the way for the establishment of PSAEC in Patiala. BATHINDA: Acting on the Punjab government's decision to strengthen Punjab State Aeronautical Engineering College (PSAEC) at Patiala, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar on Saturday held meeting with the officials of PSAEC and University for the development of infrastructure to start courses, providing training facilities and development of an aviation training hub at Patiala Civil Aerodrome.In a press release issued here on Friday, Prof Ishar said the upcoming college would start functioning from the current academic session with the commencement of BTech (Aeronautical Engineering) and BSc (Honours) in Aircraft Maintenance course classes from the first week of August as the curriculum for both the courses had already been finalised by the University.
