2-day workshop held

COLLEGE NOTESAn IQAC sponsored 2-day workshop on faculty development programme was organised at the Guru Nanak National College, Doraha, on Thursday. Dr Balwant Singh, principal, and Dr Manpreet Kaur, vice principal, were the chief guests. Resource person Dr Sarbjeet Singh, professor, computer science and engineering, UIET, Panjab University (PU), discussed Mendeley and Moodle. Principal Dr Savita Uppal congratulated the students and Prof PS Bhogal, HoD, and faculty members for their untiring efforts. Dr Singh wished good luck to the students and asked them to be honest in their lives.

Dr Suresh Kumar Sharma, professor, Department of Statistics, PU, shared data analysis techniques. Farwell organised BEd students of the Partap College of Education, Ludhiana, organised a farewell party for their seniors. Dr Balwant Singh, principal, and Dr Manpreet Kaur, vice principal, were the chief guests. Students enthralled audiences with their dance and singing skills. Disha and Puneet were declared Miss farewell and Mr farewell. Token of love and appreciation was given by students to the faculty members. Dr Singh wished good luck to the students and asked them to be honest in their lives. Students excel Students of Post Graduate Department of Political Science, Arya College, Ludhiana, excelled in the Panjab University’s (PU) semester examinations held in December 2017. Ishan Aggarwal secured 82.5 per cent marks and bagged 5th rank in PU. Principal Dr Savita Uppal congratulated the students and Prof PS Bhogal, HoD, and faculty members for their untiring efforts.
