Ravneet Bittu reaches out to drug addicts in Dakha

LUDHIANA: Congress MP Ravneet Bittu for the second straight day on Monday continued his visit to the villages in Dakha constituency, for bringing out the drug addicts for their treatment. He visited Swaddi Kalan village where five drug addicts came forward for shedding their addiction. Bittu announced that police will not be troubling any addict and no cases will be registered.The addicts shared their reasons for getting hooked to drugs. They shared places from where they used to get drugs and other pills. However, he claimed they have taken up the matter with Captain Amarinder Singh to give directions to all deputy commissioners for arranging more beds at drugs de-addiction center.

One of them even tried leaving the addiction some years ago but again started taking drugs when he did not get any support from family members.The MP assured them of treatment without any expenses. However, he claimed they have taken up the matter with Captain Amarinder Singh to give directions to all deputy commissioners for arranging more beds at drugs de-addiction center.
