JALANDHAR: AAP’s ousted leader of opposition, Sukhpal Singh Khaira , invoked teachings of the 10th Sikh Guru to attack his party’s Delhi leadership, saying his religion taught him equality.Khaira dared AAP Punjab affairs in-charge Manish Sisodia by tagging him in a tweet and asking him to appoint a Dalit to any of the two posts of deputy CM and CM of Delhi. AAP’s Delhi leaders, including party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia, have been calling Khaira anti-Dalit for his opposition to the appointment of Dirba MLA Harpal Singh Cheema as the new leader of opposition in the Punjab assembly. “@msisodia ji plz don’t play caste cards in Pb, our 10th Guru taught us the lesson of equality thru slogan ‘ Manas ki Jaat Sabhi Ek He Pahchanbo‘ and implemented it in letter n spirit. Why don’t you relinquish one office of CM or Dy CM n appoint a Dalit in Delhi to prove ur credentials? (sic)” Khaira tweeted.Later in the day, Khaira through his Facebook page, expanded the challenge to three posts.“Top three positions party convener, CM and and deputy CM of Delhi — are being held by general category leaders; if you are sincere, at least appoint one Dalit on one of these posts,” he said while addressing Sisodia.After MLA Baljinder Kaur on Saturday attacked him and termed him anti-Dalit and anti-woman, Khaira said these were totally baseless and false allegations.“They have alleged that I am getting women MLAs insulted. Even as I have already clarified, they are still insisting on the false propaganda,” he said. “People are angry with them as they want them to stand up for Punjab. For 16 months those who controlled the party never even gathered even 500 people, but now after the rally in Bathinda they are baffled,” he said.While most of the replies to Khaira’s tweets supported his contention, there were some which countered him.
