State-level I-Day function to be held in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: The state-level Independence Day celebrations would be organised at Guru Nanak Stadium , Ludhiana on August 15 and chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh would unfurl the national flag on this occasion. More than 2,000 students from different schools of the city would participate in these celebrations and would present cultural items along with those related to national integration and communal harmony.While chairing a meeting to review the preparations of state-level Independence Day celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Agrawal said, “The rehearsals for the celebrations have been started at Guru Nanak Stadium, here, since August 8 which would continue on August 10 and August 11 as well whereas the full and final dress rehearsal would be held on August 13."
