Complainant named accused in Patiala minor's torture case

PATIALA: A day after the District Chief Welfare Committee (DCWC) recommended revision of a criminal case against the 'captors' of a 10-year-old girl, who was forced to work as a domestic help and was physically and mentally tortured for the last two-and-a-half years, the district police registered a case but inadvertently named the rescuer lecturer of Punjabi University as the accused in the FIR, a folly that was later corrected.The girl was spotted by an old couple moving around on the road with a handbag late on Wednesday.
