'We'll reciprocate if Taksalis vacate Khadoor Sahib'

JALANDHAR: Punjab Ekta Party (PEP) leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira has said that if SAD (Taksali) withdrew its candidate from Khadoor Sahib, his party would reciprocate the gesture "suitably". "That would keep this election agenda based and reduce the influence of money," he said. "You should ask them; I can't say anything about what they think, but our stand is clear," he said, when asked why his allies were silent on the issue. That issue was also pursued by Khaira.Backs debate between candidatesPunjab Ekta Party leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira said a debate should be held among candidates of all 13 seats in Punjab as it would help people to decide on which candidate to vote for. He reiterated that it was a huge scam and compared Ashu's role to that of former minister Rana Gurjit Singh, who resigned as a minister over conflict of interest charges in the allotment of a sand mine.
