One question goes missing in PSEB class X Maths paper

Sumit, a worried student from Government High School in Sunet, said: “I was shocked to see the question paper, as there was no question No.22. Ludhiana: Class X students of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), who had their Mathematics exam on Friday, were surprised when they saw their question paper, as one question (No.22) was missing in the English version of the C set, which was worth 4 marks. I informed my teacher, and she said we would get grace marks. Prithpal Singh, Maths expert in PSEB, said: “Yes, we have received the feedback, and tomorrow, we are going to have a meeting. We have demanded grace marks from the assistant state project director of SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training).”The PSEB has taken notice, and they will form a committee to look into it.

For students vying to come in the merit list, even one mark matters.The board had earlier too committed an error when the Punjabi paper was circulated to students, instead of Social Sciences. Sumit, a worried student from Government High School in Sunet, said: “I was shocked to see the question paper, as there was no question No.22. I informed my teacher, and she said we would get grace marks. Although the rest of the exam was easy, I’m not sure whether grace marks will be given.”Kirandeep Singh, a mathematics teacher from Government Senior Secondary School in Sihora village, said: “Indeed, one question was missing in the English version, but we immediately informed the higher authorities. We have demanded grace marks from the assistant state project director of SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training).”The PSEB has taken notice, and they will form a committee to look into it. Prithpal Singh, Maths expert in PSEB, said: “Yes, we have received the feedback, and tomorrow, we are going to have a meeting. Then, we will decide about it.”
