Ludhiana, June 16An awareness lecture on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) was organised at Deepak Hospital. Dr Dinesh Gupta, gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Deepak Hospital, addressed the seminar. “A majority of the people affected by fatty liver are not even aware of it. It is detected during sonography of abdomen for other reason or by deranged liver function tests. Initially, a person may experience pain on right side of stomach with weakness,” said Dr Gupta.
