Khanna, June 21 The Khanna police claimed to have arrested two foreign nationals and recovered 100 gm of heroin worth about Rs 50 lakh from their possession. Those arrested have been identified as Frank and Kingsley, both residents of Nigeria, and who are at present residing in New Delhi. Addressing a press conference, Khanna SP (I) Jasvir Singh gave information that led by Manpreet Singh, SHO, Doraha, along with SI Avtar Singh, a police party of Doraha Police under the guidelines of Hans Raj, DSP (I), Khanna, Jatinder Pal Singh, DSP (Narcotics), Khanna, and Surjit Singh, DSP, Payal, and were present at a naka on GT Road (Doraha) for checking of suspected vehicles/persons. During the naka, the police party witnessed two foreigners coming from the bus stand, Doraha, and on suspicion the police party stopped them for checking. The police party recovered 50 gm of heroin from Frank and 50 gm of heroin was recovered from Kingsley, totalling 100 gm. A case under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against them at the Doraha police station. The SP said as per preliminary investigation the accused had brought the contraband from Delhi and were going to deliver it in Ludhiana. The arrested will be presented in a court for further investigation in this regard, the SP added. — OC
