Ludhiana, August 24The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertaking (CICU) organised a workshop on ‘Technical Needs of MSMEs’. Upkar Singh Ahuja, president CICU, said: “The Chamber has been organising various programmes for the benefit of the industry and trade sectors of Punjab. Skill upgrade of the industry, specially MSME, is one of the key agendas under the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Zero Defects Zero Effect’ initiatives of the Government of India. It will benefit small and medium enterprises, which are situated on Gill Road areas, especially Shimlapuri and Janta Nagar.”He said for this, consistence and persistent efforts weer required to be done for innovation and R&D, so that our industry could compete at global level for sustainable growth. The workshop was conducted by Prof Rupinder Tiwari, chief coordinator; Prof Sanjeev Puri, senior coordinator and Prof Manu Sharma, coordinator DST Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), PU.
