Tribune News ServiceLudhiana, September 13On the directions of Civil Surgeon, District Epidemiologist Ramesh inspected coolers and water ponds today under the “Friday Dry Day” drive. Various places, including offices, schools and hospitals, were checked by teams of the Health Department. Dengue larvae were found in two containers at the Labour Commissioner Office and Assistant Labour Commissioner Office, in three containers at the office of Superintendent Engineer in PWD building branch, Ghumar Mandi, and in two containers at Sanatan Vidya Mandir, Deep Nagar. Meanwhile, students were made aware regarding vector-borne diseases, including malaria, dengue and chikungunya. They were asked to observe Friday as Dry Day and drain water from coolers and flower pots.
