NSS volunteers hold cleanliness drive

Tribune News ServiceLudhiana, September 16The NSS unit of College of Agriculture, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organised a two-day camp under the aegis of the directorate of students’ welfare and dean of College of Agriculture. The planting of seedlings was carried out under the supervision of RK Dubey, Assistant Professor of floriculture, College of Agriculture. On the second day, eradication of congress grass was carried out at various locations near Engineering College, petrol pump, agronomy farm and heritage museum. The programme officers, Pankaj Kumar and Lakhwinder Kaur, sensitised students about the harmful effects of congress grass and motivated them to eradicate it. Around 270 NSS volunteers of the college participated in the camp.

Ludhiana, September 16 The NSS unit of College of Agriculture, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organised a two-day camp under the aegis of the directorate of students’ welfare and dean of College of Agriculture. The camps were based on theme of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and “Congress Grass Eradication.” On the first day of the campaign, all weeds were uprooted and garbage was collected from around the college building. The area alongside the college parking was cleaned and made ready for a green belt. The planting of seedlings was carried out under the supervision of RK Dubey, Assistant Professor of floriculture, College of Agriculture. On the second day, eradication of congress grass was carried out at various locations near Engineering College, petrol pump, agronomy farm and heritage museum. The programme officers, Pankaj Kumar and Lakhwinder Kaur, sensitised students about the harmful effects of congress grass and motivated them to eradicate it.
