Man who attacked cops nabbed with illicit liquor

Ludhiana September 17Officials of the police division 7 nabbed a person, who had once attacked the anti-narcotics cell policemen in 2018, with 10 cases of illicit liquor. The accused has been identified as Johny, a resident of EWS Colony. ACP (East) Davinder Chaudhary said in January 2018, Johny had attacked policemen of the anti-narcotics cell when they went to conduct a raid at EWS Colony. The ACP said the accused was facing about 23 cases of drug peddling, liquor smuggling, gambling and other criminal cases. In one of the cases, he has also been declared proclaimed offender by the court.
