ibune News Service Ludhiana, November 10 Special task force (STF) of Ludhiana police has nabbed a DJ with 150 gram of heroin. He has been identified as Taranjit Singh, alias Minku (35), a resident of Dhuri, Sangrur district. The STF in-charge, Harbans Singh, said they got a tip-off that a smuggler was on the way to supply heroin to his clients in Dugri. A team of the STF set up a naka at Phase I, Dugri, and signalled a biker to stop for checking. A search of his belongings yielded heroin. It was concealed in a bag containing the documents of the motorcycle. Inspector Harbans Singh said during preliminary questioning, the suspect said he was a DJ. He had been into drug peddling for the past two years. He was facing a theft case registered against him recently. Harbans Singh said Minku had brought the heroin from a smuggler, namely Rajan, and supplied drugs to his clients in Ludhiana. The STF official said they would seek police remand of the suspect so that the entire supply line of drugs could be busted and more of his aides arrested in the case.
