Ludhiana, November 11 “My life has been defined by the women in my life. Right from my mother to my daughters, all have played a very significant role in my life,” said the movie maverick, Indian cinema’s game changer, Mahesh Bhatt, during an interactive session with the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Ludhiana, here today. Amidst all lights, camera and audience, members of the organisation witnessed a legend of Indian cinema at the interactive session organised by Nandita Bhaskar, Chairperson of FLO. “Pooja is my general, Shaheen is my counsellor and Alia is my superstar,” said Bhatt. My life journey has been governed by the women in my life. My mother was a very emotional and hypersensitive person that also laid my foundation,” he said. He added that during the days when he was coming out of his alcoholism, his wife Soni Razdan was a great help. When asked about Alia and Ranbir Kapoor taking their relationship to next level, Bhatt said they were in love and Alia introduced him to Ranbir. “I have always given my children freedom and it is she who will decide the next step,” he said. The highly decorated producer-director gave a powerful session on ideologies, anecdotes and his decades of experience in the field of cinema. Bhatt shared his thoughts on the façade, fame and what hard work lies in the manifold layers of this profession. He told the FLO women to dream big and take charge. Each woman is the real protagonist of her story and should not settle for less, said Bhatt. With his two brilliant daughters as an example of achievers, he shared memories of his proud moments as well as the challenges of raising strong and independent daughters. The members were enthralled by his fervor and fearless approach towards life.
