Ludhiana: Cracking whip on violators, the municipal corporation (MC) took action against six shops being constructed illegally in Haibowal area on Wednesday.The shops were being constructed in violation of the building bylaws and the civic body had received a complaint against the illegal activity.The officials said that a warning had also been issued to the owner.MC commissioner Sandeep Rishi said that regular drives were being conducted against illegal constructions and the building branch officials had been directed to take stern action against the violators.Sandeep Rishi said that the civic body had appealed to the residents to intiate the construction works only after getting the building plans approved from the MC.
