Civic body felicitates staffers for meeting property tax recovery targets

Ludhiana: The municipal corporation felicitated its staffers with certificates of appreciation for having achieved property tax recovery targets for the financial year 2022-23 in zone D areas. The objective was to encourage and recognise staffers who worked efficiently.On directions of MC commissioner Sandeep Rishi, zonal commissioner Jasdev Singh Sekhon, who was leading the team of civic body staffers, handed over the certificates to them. In total, 93 staffers were conferred with appreciation certificates.Appreciating the efforts of the property tax wing staffers, including the then superintendent Abdul Sattar; clerks, inspectors, suvidha kendra staff, among others, Sekhon said the team worked with dedication and recovered around Rs 53 crore as property tax last year while the recovery target was Rs 50 crore. Superintendents Vivek Verma and Tarun Goyal, among others, were also present during the felicitation ceremony.
