The activists of various farmers unions had blocked the Ludhiana-Malerkotla highway near Momnabad village today. The detained farmer union activists were identified as Gupreet Singh Momnabad, Lovepreet Singh and Krishan Chubki. The protestors, led by Jarnail Singh Momnabad were demanding the release of the farmers detained by the Sadar police last night.
